They are a certified 501(c) non-profit organization dedicated to the introduction of the sport of surfing to children with special needs. The surfers and their families are treated like rock stars at each event and the privileged volunteers are changed forever.

Boarding For Breast Cancer (B4BC) is a non-profit, youth-focused education, awareness, and fundraising foundation. The Pipeline to a Cure campaign was created to herald the discovery by Australian researchers who found that cystic fibrosis children that surfed had significantly healthier lungs. Doctors determined that inhaling saltwater mist has a powerful effect on rehydrating the lining of the lungs. Sun Bum is proud to support Pipeline to a Cure events in Florida.

Since its founding in 1979, The Skin Cancer Foundation (SCF) has set the standard for educating the public and the medical profession about skin cancer, its prevention by means of sun protection, the need for early detection, and prompt, effective treatment. Sun Bum is proud to partner with the Slater Brothers (Sean, Stephen, and Kelly) as they host their annual charity surf event in support of the World Skin Cancer Foundation. The event, planned for mid-October, includes an amateur and professional surf contest, skate/vert competition, a 5k run, a beach volleyball tournament, a stand-up paddleboard contest, live music, and an action sport film festival.
